WFC President wins MMA: Inside the Cage 2012 Leader of the Year award
Some call Zlatko Mahic, "The European Dana White", but now he is known as Leader of the Year. National U.S. television show, "MMA Inside the Cage" awarded the title to the WFC President on their newest episode. Zlatko won the first-ever Leader of the Year award, by beating out Invicta FC's Shannon Knapp, RUFF China's Joel Resnick, EFC Africa's Cairo Howarth, and XFC's John Prisco. The hosts praised Mahic for his strong business demeanor, putting WFC on the international scene, and matchmaking the inaugural Abu Dhabi Warriors event in November.
This was not the only nomination for WFC, as the promotion was also up for Main Event of the Year and Promotion of the Year. In related news, Abu Dhabi Warriors claimed the Newcomer Promotion of the Year.
MMA: Inside the Cage is presented on the Fight Now TV network in the United States, focusing on promotions all over the world. The program airs in over 40 million U.S. homes each week, and is also available on its website, mmainsidethecagetv.com.
