Patryk Kowoll: 'It Will Be My Night'
Video
Having already competed in numerous mixed martial arts and professional boxing contests, Patryk Kowoll has experience beyond his twenty years. At WFC 17: 'Olimp Live and Fight,' the Pole will face Uros Velicevic in K-1 action, something he is greatly looking forward to.
"I'm very happy; it's the most important fight of my life up to now," noted Kowoll. "The WFC is a leading organisation in Europe, and it will be great experience for me."
Patryk is fully aware that with the big opportunity comes a tough scrap, but he feels he'll be more than ready for the challenge that faces him at the Hala Tivoli.
"I've watched a few of his fights," noted the two-time Silesia amateur boxing champion. "Uros is very good fighter. He has very good kicks and is very tall, but I've also found his weak points, so I've got good tactics for this fight.
"Preparations are going very well. I train six days in week. At the beginning of my preparations, I did a lot strength and conditioning training, whilst now I'm focusing on sparring and technical training. I'll be trying to use my boxing skills, but I'll also kick if there's the chance."
With less than a month to go until fight night, Kowoll is excited, and promises to put on a fantastic show for the viewing public.
"I can't wait until my fight in Slovenia," beamed the young talent. "I'll give my all for the WFC fans, and I hope that we'll give you a good fight. It will be my night."
