Ognjen Topalovic: ‘I Believe In Myself And My Work’

Returning at WFC 17: ‘Olimp Live & Fight’ will be Slovenian K-1 battler Denis Maksut. A man on a mission, the middleweight has high hopes for his comeback, declaring in a video interview with WFC.si that he feels he’s the best at what he does.
However, this isn’t of any concern to his fiery, 20-year-old opponent, Ognjen Topalovic. Upon being asked for his thoughts on Maksut’s claims, the Croatian had a snappy response.
“I don’t give a damn,” asserted Ognjen. “I don’t know anything about him; only that he’s back to K-1. I don’t underestimate anyone, and I believe in myself and my work.”
A veteran of the WFC in his own right with an intriguing encounter against Shkodran Veseli at WFC 15 under his belt, Topalovic is delighted to feature once again, and is working hard to ensure his hand is raised on October 21st. He said,
“I’m training hard with running, mitts, bags and sparring. I'm glad that I'm back on the WFC. K-1 is a fast sport; everything is possible. I just want to win and I’m going to win.”
