Mahteenko: ''It will be a memorable fight between Tessari and me!''
Jevgeniy Mahteenko is not a new face in the WFC, he has among others a KO versus Kosednar at WFC 15. Three events later he earned a shot at a welterweight title.
At WFC 18: Knockout he'll fight against Italian Simone Tessari for the empty throne in the welterweight division. Originally from Ukraine he train and lives in the capital of Czech Republic, Prague. Determined that he'll be the new Champion he's coming to Krizanke to take what he believes is rightfully his.
''It will be a memorable fight between Tessari and me,'' Mahteenko gave a promise before the event. Boxing and grappling are two martial arts that he's keen of and feels comfortable. Fighting on the ground is not something that ''Zena'', as they call him, likes to do so we can expect fierce fighting on the stance. Action in the ring with belt on the line, is there anything more interesting?
