In the Judo vs Jiu-Jitsu matchup MMA was the real winner

WFC 27 - BRAVE CF 88 was truly an end-to-end feast for MMA fans, from title fights, to great KO’s and even a duel of styles as two representatives of judo and jiu-jitsu put on a great show for the sport of mixed martial arts, proving MMA is truly the most exciting sport in the world.

Representing judo, Kristjan Toniste tested the limits of the ground game as he went to battle with black belt Domen Drnovsek, the number one jiu-jitsu fighter in Slovenia, and the result couldn’t have been more exciting, as they tested each other’s heart, grit, and determination throughout 15 minutes of non-stop action.

A more experienced mixed martial artist, Toniste was forced to rely on his overall MMA game to dictate the pace of the fight, after Domen Drnovsek refused to be finished, and the result was an excellent showcase of a full arsenal by Kristjan, who escaped the submission attempts from Drnovsek, used his ground and pound to score when in top position on the ground, and was also required to put in motion his full striking arsenal.

In the end, Kristjen Toniste had his hand raised as victorious in this judo vs jiu-jitsu bout turned MMA instant classic, but the fans were the real winners as both men showcased everything that is exciting about mixed martial arts: crisp striking, heart, determination, ground transitions, amazing takedowns, and much more.

The Super Lightweight bout was the perfect showcase for the excitement of MMA and the fans showed their appreciation as both athletes were showered with applause after the bell rang.
