Rakocevic: "WFC will continue its growth in 2013"

Igor Rakocevic, professional basketball player and big MMA fan took some of his free time to answer to a couple of questions regarding WFC and MMA in general. As a big WFC supporter he certainly is the right person to talk to at the end of the year.

Rakocevic returned to Serbia after almost ten years abroad where he played for Europe’s elite basketball teams.  He surely can assess the quality of a good organization as he has been a vital part in a couple of them. WFC is being regarded as one of the best organizations in Europe and that is what Rakocevic thinks also.

“WFC has become widely known MMA brand in Europe in the last two years. Surely in the best top 2 organizations and it is still growing,” Rakocevic opened the conversation. WFC pursues high standards and is getting better at each event it organizes.

“2012 has been excellent. Full of title fights, very good quality bouts and well-known MMA and K-1 names on the fight cards,” stated Rakocevic.

WFC goal to develop every year coincides with Igor’s wishes, “we want to continue to develop WFC in Europe and there are plans to organize events across the Europe. We can offer the audience exciting and interesting fights because we have a lot of WFC fighters who completely affirmed themselves through our organization, such as Savov, Hallmann etc.”

Igor, a big fan of Svetlozar Savov and Milan Zerjal, was introduced in to the MMA world by another great basketball player, Bostjan Nachbar. He and Igor were teammates in Turkey and there is where Igor became addicted to the MMA which he so much adores today. He prefers fights that end with submission which he sees as a true art.

“Enjoy life and appreciate the MMA because it is a sport that is very demanding and fighters invest everything in it. See you in 2013, you can count on WFC to become even better,” Igor concluded his New Year’s message for the WFC fans.
